adjectives - The grammar of 'Ready to take' versus 'Easy to take'


Why is this ungrammatical?:




  1. * The medicine is easy to be taken.




when we can say:




  1. The medicine is ready to be taken.



What is the difference between "ready" and "easy" that makes the one statement grammatical and the other ungrammatical?
